Angle Park Greyhounds More Than Racing!

February 12th, 2011

Angle Park greyhound racing is the premiere greyhound racing in South Australia. With a top grade sand surface and good quality off track facilities Angle Park has entrenched itself as the heart and soul of South Australian greyhound racing. Events are conducted three times a week giving the public plenty of opportunities to get in on the action. Greyhounds currently race on Monday and Thursday nights as well as Wednesday mornings.

The track was first established in 1947 but betting at the track wasn’t available until 1971. The track has a 457m circumference with a 51m turn radius, stretching 6.5m side to side. Angle Park is renowned for producing some of the tightest greyhound races in Australia so live replays are always on hand around the ground.

When the racing isn’t taking place the greyhound racing club has an excellent fine dining option with Chasers Restaurant. More casual cafe style food outlets are also available in the complex.

The most popular greyhound race to take place in South Australia every year is the annual Smoke Free Adelaide Cup worth more than $50,000 to the winner. Betting on all events at Angle park and throughout South Australia can be found at premiere online bookmaker Luxbet.
